Summer Reading Challenge 

1st July to 10th September 2022

During the Summer Holidays, Mitcheldean Library look forward to welcoming your children – it is the local library for your local community and is run by local volunteers!

They are running a Reading Challenge to help encourage all children to spend some of their summer holidays with a good book! The challenge is to read eight books, collect a sticker for each one and with the eighth sticker pick up a prize!  To start, just go to the Library and collect a book mark and put the stickers on this as each book is finished and returned.

Children can read any of the books in stock and the library has been buying in a whole set of new books for children and young people during the last few months.  They will find lots to read and enjoy.  Opening times are as follows:

10.00am-1.00pm

10.00am-3.00pm

10.00am-1.00pm

Please encourage your children to take part – it is fun and will help maintain their reading skills during the summer break!
